Privacy
andr3 operates OwnTheCrown as an individual in Switzerland. This notice explains the information used to run accounts, the game and sponsored placements.
Controller and contact
Public operator name: andr3 (private individual, Switzerland). Use the contact email below for access, correction, deletion and privacy questions. Full legal operator identification and postal address still need to be published for paid online services.
Sign-in and account data
Email-based authentication uses temporary one-time codes, secure session cookies and abuse prevention. We process your email, account identity and profile information you provide, such as username, display name, bio, picture and optional link. Better Auth and Resend support authentication and email delivery.
Public profiles and game records
Public usernames, display names and optional profile content can be visible to other visitors. Game records include Crown challenges, draw entries, winners, ownership, reign timestamps, weekly rankings and streaks. Past game events remain available after the daily reset; removing an account does not automatically erase public competition history where an appropriate legal basis for retention remains.
Sponsored placements and payments
Advertiser submissions include company/project name, contact email, destination URL, ad copy, optional artwork, chosen plan, payment status and moderation history. Stripe processes checkout and card data; OwnTheCrown does not store full card details. Payment identifiers and records may be retained for billing, refunds, fraud prevention and legal obligations.
Umami website analytics
We use Umami Cloud to understand pageviews, entry sources, browser categories and anonymous actions such as sign-in attempts, Crown steals and sponsor engagement. The tracker honours browser Do Not Track and does not intentionally transmit email addresses, OTPs, payment identifiers, query strings, fragments or raw public profile usernames. Visit statistics are estimates and may involve technical information such as browser metadata.
Cookies, storage and security
Secure cookies keep you signed in. Local browser storage holds display preferences and prevents duplicate sponsored view reports. Short-lived pseudonymous rate-limiting records derived from network addresses help control suspicious traffic; these ad metric records are cleaned up automatically after their operating window. We do not use those records to identify players.
Service providers and international processing
Cloudflare hosts the site and associated database/media, Resend handles selected email delivery, Stripe handles checkout and Umami Cloud handles analytics. These providers may process data in different countries. Their own privacy notices and the safeguards required by applicable law apply.
Retention and your rights
We retain information while needed to provide the game, operate campaigns, comply with law, prevent abuse and resolve disputes. Public game records can outlast an account session. You may request information, correction, deletion or objection where the law permits; certain transactional or integrity records may need to remain. Use the contact address below and explain your request without including passwords or one-time codes.
